About Mechanical Design

It is said that design is an exacting profession,but highly fascinating when practiced against a broad background of knowledge.  As for me ,I will graduate from Yantai University this July .After I have made a unsatisfied performance during my Entrance Examination to Graduate College ,I want to hunt for a job about mechenical design directly.But since I  have no work experence yet,what should I do?
